| FILE 10 NURBS PROTO 4KT é o título da exposição do FILE 09 que ocorrerá em São Paulo de 28 de julho a 30 de agosto de 2009. Este ano temos a honra de apresentar: FILE 10, dez anos de FILE, dez anos de eventos realizados na cidade de São Paulo, dez anos de discussão sobre arte e tecnologia no Brasil. NURBS (Non Uniform Rational Basis Spline) é uma técnica da computação
gráfica desenvolvida no século XX para representar superfícies
lisas, que,
de acordo com Lev Manovich, autor do texto de abertura do Catálogo do
FILE 09, pode tornar-se juntamente com outros recursos da computação
gráfica uma nova ferramenta para a teoria cultural do século XXI. Lev Manovich também participará do FILE Symposium e do FILE LABO Workshop. PROTO de “Protomembrana”, título da performance do artista catalão Marcel.lí Antúnez Roca, que acontecerá na abertura do evento, no Teatro Popular do SESI. 4KT, a primeira transmissão transcontinental em alta definição de um longa-metragem: “Enquanto a Noite Não Chega”, do cineasta brasileiro Beto Souza, entre as cidades de São Paulo (Brasil), San Diego (Estados Unidos) e Yokohama (Japão). |

This year, we have the honor to present FILE 10 -- ten years of events accomplished in the city of São Paulo, ten years of discussion on art and technology in Brazil. which according to Lev Manovich, the author of the opening text in
the catalog, can become a new tool for cultural theory in the 21
century, along with other computer graphics and visualization tools. Lev Manovich will also take part in FILE Symposium and FILE LABO Workshop.
