GRAFFITI RESEARCH LAB

FILE presents for the first time in Brazil the electronic graffiti by Graffiti Research Lab, on August 05 to 08. Those who follow the evolution of graffiti know that for some time technology has invaded the area and allowed previously impossible ways of graffitting buildings and other constructs. A New York group pioneering in techniques that challenge the dimensions of urban architecture, Graffiti Research Lab will show its Laser Tag at FILE 2008 in the streets of São Paulo. Laser Tag is a laser pen with which one can draw entire buildings, with the help of a large-scale projector. Anyone can create sentences and drawings with this instrument, which has passed by constructions such as the Brooklyn Bridge, the Colosseum and museums as TATE Modern in London and MoMA in New York. During the first week of FILE São Paulo 2008, people could be surprised by the digital works of Graffiti Research Lab in unlikely places of the town.
