FILE INNOVATION
============================
A novelty in FILE's program, FILE Innovation arises as a pilot project in the 2008 edition, with the aim of promoting intersections among fields of science, art, and economy through the exhibition of inventions and innovations in a context guided by the concept of creativity and open innovation.
To attain a wider visibility and connectivity in innovations, it is necessary to overcome the linear forms of its development and its presentation, and to invent new, updated, more interactive and esthetic ways of making the inventions and innovations more attractive to the general public. Thus, in one hand the scientific and technological knowledge will be demystified as something restricted to the research labs and R&D departments of companies; in the other hand, a fan of possibilities will open to the innovations made specifically and linearly for the market, treating them as something open, that is, in a network.
With that in mind, FILE Innovation will bring five installations by Brazilian creators and inventors:
1) a musical interface of direct interaction between brain and computer; 2) installations that use an Automatic Speech Recognition System; 3) robots with autonomous mobile echnology; 4) interactive table; 5) simulators of waves and whirlwinds.
That strategy has a fundamental role in stimulating scientific and artistic creativity, both essential to push the country in the context of the creativity and knowledge economy.
