FILE CINEMA DIGITAL
============================
FILE 2008 inaugurates an unprecedented event in Brazil: FILE digital cinema. The movies of the future, in ultra-high definition. Fourteen films produced with the 4k technology, including one from Brazil, will be shown at SESI Popular Theater for five days. These small format films are still rare today, because the technology is expensive and a few laboratories master it. However, we have never seen something so marking and impressive as those images that anticipate the new world cinema.
Developed by Sony, the 4k projectors produce images with 8 million pixels per frame, an innovation that promises to revolutionize the movies experience in the world.
Images with much more detail than can be seen with natural vision. That is the experience that FILE's public will be able to live for free with 4k projections. The name 4k refers to the number of horizontal pixels, 4,096, multiplied by 2,160 vertical pixels, making 8,847,360 pixels. Thus the event's name this year: FILE 2008 MILLION PIXELS. It is an image four times better than blue-rays and 24 times sharper than conventional television. The result is an incredibly sharp image, with vivid details and colors, intense brightness and impressive sheerness.
