  TAE HONG PARK | E.U.A.
Omoni (mother in Korean) is a piece that touches on many facets of motherhood. The piece was mainly composed using speech samples obtained from numerous "interviews" when asked to comment on the subject of motherhood. One of the primary objectives was to get speakers from a diverse age group (3~92 yrs.) and background to render a wide spectrum of responses.

Trans u.
Elke Utermoehlen: voice, objects, live electronic
Martin Slawig: objects, live electronic
Trans.u creates audiovisual landscapes with the help of found objects and interactive computer technology. the materials used in the performance are a permanently changing mixture.
New things are added at new places, others will be left away. That is why trans.u stays in the process of creation.
Movement of the performers and actions with the materials are observed by different sensors and cameras.
The information created by sound and movement is being used as a source for audiovisual live processing. projection is layed over the stage, integrating objects and performers into the projected images.
Sounds are produced by using natural material (water, sand, stone...) but also by plastic and scrap metal or prepared objects. by adding feedback, noise from electronic equipment and singing performances create minimalist images, halting grooves and pulsing beats.
