FILE FESTIVAL 2003 |
 |
| "New
technologies", "Digital Age", "Electronic
Age", "Informatization", "Telematics",
"Cybernetics", "Automatization", "Technological
Revolution" and "Digital Revolution", all this
made possible the arising of a new culture: the "Digital
Culture" and in it the "New Media": electronic
media, hypermedia which have been developed every year in a
speed without equal. FILE - Electronic Language International
Festival accompanies this velocity and those transformations
and offers such informations to public access. Thus FILE 2003
will be open on August 13th, 2003, and subsequently followed
by HIPERSONICA 2003 and SYMPOSIUM 2003. In the interactive rooms,
we'll be exhibiting: web films, webart, net art, hypertexts,
vrml, virtual reality, computerized animation, perfomances and
instalations. |

INSTALAÇÕES |
| |
FILE
will be exhibiting various instalations in 2003: "Stream"
is the name of Simon Bigg´s instalation. For him, "Stream"
deals with subjects that discuss the presence, both physical
and remote (virtual), and ask "what if" we lost the
ability to differentiate ourselves and our sense of singularity
in the world?
"Ominidirectional vision and interactive sonority"
is the instalation exclusively made for FILE 2003 - HIPERSONICA
by scientist and researcher Jun Okamoto and his team. This work
allows a more integrated interaction between vision, action
and sonority. The machine's vision builds sonic fields through
which the interagents can, with the movement of their bodies,
build a sound composition.
"Plucked Room" is a sound instalation made for FILE
2003-HIPERSONICA by researcher and erudite electronic musician
Edson Zampronha. Plucked Room is a place that is a sound. It
isn't a place in which a sound is played. The very room is the
physical body which is put to vibrate by a virtual attack, as
if it were a card with precisely the same length of the room.
Inside the instalation, it's possible to live an experience
of a very intense and singular discovery.
