PELE - ESTUDO N. 2

Organisms are a show of thecnology-dance that discuss the relation of the human body with the world of the tecnoculture. It's creative process was initiate with the video-installation DRYWET, developed in the Environments Lab da Ohio State University (Columbus - EUA), and was presented as a performance at the Sullivant Theater, under the title PELE - study n* 1: drywet in january of 2002. The work's conception, is about the marks left by this constant symbiosis that occurs between the organic body and its environment. The skin (pele) is the interface that joins and break apart the "self" with the world, it is what makes possible distingue ourselves from the other. PELE (skin) approaches the complexity of the body in the contemporary thought.

Ivani Santana is choreographer , ballerina, and dance researcher in the field of the thecnoculture. Master and Doctor degree by the "Programa de Estudos Pós-Graduados em Comunicação e Semiótica da PUC-SP".
